The Lord GOD has given me
a well-trained tongue, That I might know how to answer the weary a word that will waken them:
Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow: Hebrews 4:12
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another:
The Law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul; The decree of the Lord is trustworthy, giving wisdom to the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart.
The command of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eye.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The statutes of the LORD are true, all of them just; More desirable than gold, than a hoard of purest gold,
Sweeter also than honey or drippings from the comb:
Psalm 19: 8-11
Yet just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
and do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
Giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but shall do what pleases me, achieving the end for which I sent it: Isaiah 55: 10-11
Every word of God is tested; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him: Proverbs 30:5.
But whoever keeps his word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. This is the way we may know that we are in union with him: 1 John 2:5
As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness: Acts 4:31
Search through the book of the LORD* and read: not one of these shall be lacking, For the mouth of the LORD has ordered it, and his spirit gathers them there: Is 34:16
Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart: He 4:12
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:17
The grass withers, and the flower wilts; but the word of the Lord remains forever: 1 Peter 1: 25
And that from infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness,so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work: 2 Tim 3:15-17
And for this reason we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe: 1 Thes 2:13
Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ:
The grass withers, the flower wilts,
but the word of our God stands forever: Isaiah 40:8
He therefore let you be afflicted with hunger, and then fed you with manna, a food unknown to you and your ancestors, so you might know that it is not by bread alone that people live, but by all that comes forth from the mouth of the LORD: Deuteronomy 8:3.
Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”: John 8:31-32
Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves: James 1:22
Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock: Matthew 7:24
He said in reply, “It is written:
‘One does not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God:' Matthew 4:4
